If statistics matter, the most deadly weapon in the American citizen’s arsenal is a fork.
Each year there are about thirty-thousand gun related deaths in America – half from suicide. During the same period we lose forty-thousand through vehicles, one hundred-thousand per prescription medications, and three hundred-thousand through obesity.
Liberalism was originally rooted in the Latin term “liberalis” – “of freedom.” Today’s liberal mantra is more rightly “imperium” – “authority, command, rule, and control.” If a new restriction, law, or mandate comes out of government, a leftheaded thinker will most likely be leading the charge. Nothing triggers liberal wrath more than obstacles, like gun rights, impairing their capacity to twist the culture into something more comfortable.
