Hi, this is conservative candor and I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower...
The pillaging done America's finance pirates makes their Somalia brethren look like amateurs. Politicians who have heretofore enabled these bandits are now crying for dramatic expansion of government regulations. Our current crop of Washington rascals differ little from their predecessors in assuming government bureaucrats can outthink the bad guys. History tells us the opposite, in that those wishing to steal from their fellow man will always find a way to stay ahead of those wishing to stop them. Regulation that can work to support a true capitalistic system is one that monitors for transparency, honesty, and accountability. Wheelbarrows of rules will just give the finance criminals something to work around. Illumination of the real deal; making sure information shared is true; and building in hard consequences when it is not will support free enterprise over pirate enterprise. Government is geared to procedures over outcomes and thus is vulnerable to motion over action. Sleeping with someone and waking up suddenly to strangle them is not good policy. Turning on the lights is a better place to start...
I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower and you just spent a minute with a candid conservative...
