Hi, this is conservative candor and I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower...

Thanks to the continuing efforts of Tea Partiers and other conservative patriots, cracks are forming in the Republican Party power structure.  Though Democrats habitually distort the conservative message as a means to paralyzing the competition, Republican pretenders do even greater harms.  It's so rare to have an elected official walk his conservative talk, that real conservatives are today labeled as extreme and out of touch.  Those accusations are true to the extent that conservative realists are out of touch with the short-sighted nature of please and appease political correctness.  Republicans who place being loved and reelected over principled run as conservatives but usually serve as liberals.  The only honest measurement of a politician's true nature is their voting record - the rest is puffery designed to conceal a bald head under a perfumed wig.  While it's true you have to win to be able to affect change, it is just as true that how you win determines how you serve.  Too many Republican winners are serving like Democrat losers for precisely that reason...
