Hi, this is conservative candor and I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower...
Most politicians are elected on the basis of the word 'good'. Those who look 'good' are more likely to be elected than those who don't. The same is true of politicians who sound "good" and make us feel "good". That real good has nothing to do with image, sound bites, or transient feelings is lost in the fuzzy thinking of the leftheaded and make believe right. Real conservatives are dedicated to real good - the kind of good that is grounded in reality, truth, and facts. Having a value system that is loving, responsible, and productive seems to be something real good. Working and prospering from the benefits of your own labors is real good. A system of laws that is limited but enthusiastically enforced is real good as surely as too many laws poorly enforced is real bad. Conservatives believe that little government and big people is more good than the other way around. As long as we elect our politicians on the basis of look, talk, and feel kinds of good, our understanding of real good will be increasingly corrupted. History tells us that cultures who lose sight of real good have an ending that's real bad...
I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower and you just spent a minute with a candid conservative...
