Hi, this is conservative candor and I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower...
There was a time when the words conservative and liberal meant something. In contemporary America, both political descriptors offer as little clarity as the word love - another abused descriptor used to mean everything from addiction to affection to pedophilia. People on both sides of the political spectrum continue to confuse real conservative and liberal for ordinary power politics. In this climate of distortion, the word 'conservative' commonly conjures up images of foreign wars, greed, and heartlessness. Yet true conservatism is about staying out of foreign entanglements, fair reward for personal labors, and delighting in the liberty and prosperity of your fellow man. The word liberal has come to stand for anything goes immorality, big brother, and entitlement. True liberalism is about liberty with a conscience, natural rights, and personal responsibility. Thomas Jefferson - the conservative poster child - was actually a liberal. No wonder so many of us are confused. Maybe a hybrid title would help - Libserative might be the answer - but in this minute that's just another name for a true conservative...
I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower and you just spent a minute with a you know what...
