Hi, this is the conservative minute and I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower...

It's probably not a surprise that government employees are routinely paid more than their civilian counterparts.  The real separation occurs with benefit packages frequently 50% more generous - including pension plans that in some cases fall just short of criminal extortion.  In San Francisco, through the abuse of overtime and other manipulations in the year before retirement, over half the police and firefighters retire with benefits exceeding their normal salary.  All over America, and at all levels of government, politicians have been having please and appease love fests with public, police, and firefighter unions to assure their reelection.  Taxpayers have been robbed in this equation.  The magic bucket is drying up for these chronically underfunded pension plans and the greedy are looking for relief.  Taxpayers, our younger citizens, and conservative thinkers should not submit to being mugged by our policeman and other government employees stealing their piece of the American Dream...
