Hi, this is Dr. Carl with today's candid conservative minute...
Conservative thinkers looking for a hero should take a peek at the peach state. The Georgia Republican gubernatorial primary has at least one candidate ready to get serious about illegal immigration. Georgia Senate pro tem Eric Johnson, like his colleagues in Arizona, understands that illegal immigration will never be addressed in Washington. It is a local issue to be fought with local resources. His chief opponents are voicing the traditional language of cardboard politicians offering words designed to evade accountability, avoid controversy, and seduce voters. Johnson, who didn't achieve the second highest office in his state's senate by accident, is specific in his insistence on how to hold illegals and their employers accountable. His mission is to enforce current law; enforce citizenship verification by all state agencies and schools; and impair businesses with patterned use of illegal workers. If you are looking for a man of reason and action on illegal immigration - Senator Johnson from Georgia is an unusual politician who walks his talk with courage and conviction...
