You probably didn't know New Orleans resident Larmondo Allen before he was murdered in a public housing development some years back. You may, however, find part of his obituary interesting. Larmondo 'Flair' Allen, an entrepreneur, died February 7 of gunshot wounds on Martin Luther King Boulevard. He was 25. Mr. Allen was a life-long resident of New Orleans. Survivors include his companion, Kawanner Armstrong; three sons and six daughters. Per his criminal record and work history, Mr. Allen's entrepreneurial specialties were fathering children out of wedlock, dealing drugs, and violence. This young man packed a lot of living into a quarter of a century. Unfortunately, his legacy includes several dead bodies and 9 children without a Dad or responsible provider. We all need to matter, but we do have choice about how we matter. Political correctness would suggest it insensitive to suggest Mr. Allen was a social predator of despicable character.
