Hi - this is Dr. Carl with today's candid conservative minute...

If you're a liberal who likes the idea of big government, the twenty-first century is your time in history.  Government personnel, spending, debt, and revenue are growing at unprecedented rates under both Republicon and Demoncratic regimes.  In North Carolina there's been a loss of over 133,000 private sector jobs over the past 10 years, but 127,000 government jobs have been added.  During that period this state's budget has roughly doubled from 10 billion to 20 billion a year.  Another exciting statistic for socialist progressives is that government is the only major area of the nation's economy that's currently growing.  The real compass of shame is government's expansion on the backs of our children.  We are allowing our politicians to spend approximately two dollars for every one they are taking in.  Membership in government unions now exceeds membership in the private sector.  It's possible to have big government or big people - never both.  The numbers point to the verdict - it remains to be seen if conservatives will accept the sentence...
