Hi - this is Dr. Carl with today's candid conservative minute...
July 16th was a day for celebration. A host of hard working people successfully capped a gushing volcano one mile beneath the surface of the Gulf of Mexico. Their accomplishment triggered a childhood memory of a relative offering a compliment to such men. It was his opinion that some lay their mind to the world, some their heart, and some their spirit. But in his view the best of us are those who put their hand to the world. No doubt he would be proud of those guys who worked in the hot gulf sun to bring about a miracle and stop the harm that other, more careless men, had released. In truth, it took a lot of minds, hearts, spirits, and hands to make this thing happen. It wasn't the politicians, talkers, or observers who did it. It was the men and women who turned toward catastrophe and put their gifts to action. Sweat was used to stop this oil and sweat will be used to clean up the mess. So it is with life - it's not the watchers and talkers who get the job done - it's the doers. We've been reminded once again of how blessed we are to have them...
I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower and you've just spent a minute with a candid conservative...
