Hi - this is the candid conservative with today's candid minute...
Though we're frequently told there are exceptions, there are really just two ways to get money - earn it or take it from others. That's it - and there are no exceptions. The only fudge room is the name you give to earning or taking. Earning might be called working, creating, or producing. Taking can be called pilfering, thieving, robbing, or - if you're a closet socialist named Obama - wealth redistribution. No matter what you call it, taking from the labors of others is stealing - and stealing is wrong. It's wrong to steal from our children by spending money today that they will have to pay back tomorrow. It's wrong to steal from the man on the street by making him and her pay for the bad business practices of Wall Street. It's wrong to steal by taxing one set of pockets so politicians can fill other pockets of their choosing. Liberals and progressives hate to be called socialists because it implies impure motives and misguided actions. Actually they're right; stealing is selfish and wrong, no matter what you call it or how you try to hide it...
I'm Dr. Carl Mumpower and you've just spent a minute with a candid conservative...
